1. Using PaperPop

PaperPop is a digital diary, sticker book and planner for personal use. Using the service means agreeing to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. A membership does not transfer ownership of PaperPop or its artwork to you.

You must give accurate account information, use an email address you control and complete email verification when requested. Keep your password and private profile PIN safe. Do not use someone else’s account without permission or try to bypass profile locks, paid sticker restrictions or other access controls.

2. Profiles, teens and family privacy

Adults may have an independent account, including adults who are still at school. Under-18s use the parent-managed invitation flow with a parent or guardian’s involvement. The managing adult is responsible for authorised family setup and for explaining sharing settings to younger users.

Solo includes one profile, Duo includes two, and Family includes up to four. These profile limits are not permission to see every diary. Teen profiles cannot enter or switch into the parent’s private diary. Parents can supervise shared planning information and view teen diary content only where the applicable sharing controls permit it; the current sharing setting must remain visible to the younger user.

A Secret Diary PIN adds protection when switching profiles on a shared device. It does not replace your account password or device security. Do not leave a parent profile unlocked on a device used by someone else. Linked phones and invitations do not automatically make private diaries public.

Family setup and Parent account pages require an active verified Family subscription; a trial, Solo or Duo does not grant them. Duo private diary and mood-journal entries require a PIN. Only About Me and planner pages are eligible for deliberate Duo sharing, not private diary entries; membership does not automatically merge accounts or share pages.

3. The 14-day Free Starter trial

The Free Starter trial costs R0 for 14 days and is available once per account. It starts when you choose and activate the trial, not merely when you create an account. It includes core planner tools and all available Starter sticker cut-outs, not Pop Club packs.

You must choose the trial or a membership before accessing gated diary and planner tools. When the trial ends, an active membership backed by a verified live purchase is required to continue using those tools. The trial does not automatically become a paid membership or authorise a charge. Creating another profile does not restart the account’s trial.

Trial expiry is an access change, not an account-deletion request. It does not by itself mean that your saved entries have been deleted. See the Privacy Policy for data and deletion information.

4. Membership plans and prices

All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR). Monthly and yearly are different billing-period choices; yearly prices are for a full year, not a monthly instalment amount.

Monthly membership includes Starter and Pop Club packs, with released seasonal drops available as optional R19 purchases each. Yearly membership includes Starter, Pop Club and seasonal drops when released. Trial users have Starter access only; a released seasonal add-on is priced at R19 where verified purchasing is available.

Review the plan, period, price and availability at checkout. Selecting a plan, opening checkout or clicking a greyed-out sticker does not activate membership or unlock artwork. Paid access is tied to verified purchase records and the relevant profile’s entitlements.

5. Payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Preview payments and return pages alone never grant live membership or sticker access.

Paid memberships renew monthly or yearly according to the period selected at checkout. Manage payment methods and cancellation through the billing button on your membership page. Cancellation stops future renewal; access already paid for remains available until its paid period ends. Paddle’s Buyer Terms govern payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics.

“Cancel whenever, wherever” does not mean a refund is guaranteed or that an annual price is payable month by month. No live cancellation fee, refund restriction or automatic-renewal obligation is created by a sandbox checkout. Any future purchase terms must be shown before you pay and remain subject to your legal rights.

6. Sticker packs, drops and promotions

Paid catalogue packs contain six stickers. Starter access includes all available Starter cut-outs. Mzansi Y2K is a premium Pop Club pack, not a free Starter pack.

Upcoming Drops are concept previews with planned release windows, not guaranteed release dates. A countdown finishing does not release a pack or enable purchasing. An interest or reservation form records interest only: it is not an order, a payment, a delivery promise or an artwork unlock.

The Pearl Charms & Crystal Gems pack is an exclusive Month 1 launch sign-up gift for qualifying yearly members, not a separate purchase. Viewing its preview does not qualify you for the gift; access requires the verified qualifying membership and confirmed promotion availability.

7. Your content and the artwork licence

You retain ownership of the original writing and photos you add. You permit PaperPop to store and display that content as needed to provide your diary, profile, backup and deliberately selected sharing features. Only upload content you have the right to use, including permission for other people’s photos where needed.

PaperPop artwork is licensed for decorating your personal pages and sharing finished spreads. Do not sell, extract or redistribute standalone stickers or packs, claim the artwork as your own, or use it to make products for sale without permission.

Do not post unlawful, abusive or exploitative content, infringe anyone’s privacy or intellectual property, impersonate another person, or interfere with the service. PaperPop may restrict access where necessary to address misuse or protect other users, subject to applicable law.

8. Exports, sharing and connected services

Exporting your diary or About Me page creates a copy. Sharing sends only the content you choose; it does not give the recipient access to your account, private diary or membership. Check the exported image for names, birthdays, photos and other personal information before sharing it.

Downloaded files and copies posted to social media are outside PaperPop’s control. Deleting the original page does not remove those copies. Instagram and other services have their own terms and privacy settings.

Calendar exports do not create two-way calendar sync. Availability of native sharing, downloads and installation depends on your browser and device. PaperPop’s phone installation support is not a claim of an App Store or Google Play release.

9. Privacy, saved information and account deletion

Our Privacy Policy explains personal information, profile sharing, PINs, diary photos and visitor analytics choices. Public homepage previews are illustrative and do not display your private diary, plans or photos.

Save your changes before leaving a page and keep an export of important memories. Device connectivity and service interruptions can affect saving or loading; do not assume an unsaved change has been backed up.

You can request account deletion through the account controls. Read the confirmation carefully and export anything you wish to keep first. Deleting an account does not remove copies you already shared elsewhere. Any legally required retention and other data-handling details are covered by the Privacy Policy.

10. Availability and responsibility

PaperPop may change or temporarily interrupt features for maintenance, security or improvements. Previews and planned features are not a guarantee of uninterrupted service or a commitment to a particular launch date.

The planner and mood journal are personal organisation tools, not medical, mental-health, legal or financial advice. Do not rely on them as your only record of critical appointments or information. Any suggested plans or dates should be checked before you use them.

Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits consumer rights that apply to you.

11. Changes, South African law and questions

PaperPop may update these terms as the service develops. The date above identifies this version. Material changes affecting purchases must be disclosed before the relevant purchase or renewal; updated wording does not turn a past sandbox test into a live contract.

These terms are intended for PaperPop’s South African offering and are subject to applicable South African law, including consumer and privacy protections where applicable. They do not remove any mandatory rights or lawful complaint options available to you.
